Can anyone recommend a good brand of multi page scanner?

Hi Megan,
I just bought the ix500, but am returning it to Amazon. I am so bummed -- I read a lot of good reviews about this scanner; was also happy to know you can scan directly to Google Docs.

BUT you advertise this scanner as "wireless," which is misleading. I was certainly mislead by the web marketing; you have to have it plugged into a USB port on a computer to enable its wireless capabilities, and then only for iOS and Android devices. Imagine my frustration when I ordered, unpacked, and set up this scanner, only to discover that it isn't really a wireless solution.

I am currently using a wireless Canon flatbed scanner, which works fine, but it's single feed, and I need a multipage scanner.

I use Fujitsu scanners at work. They are very good. For a good scanner be prepared to pay a bit more. Scanners are very picky about drivers. You have to have software with the scanner if you want to be able to adjust the image on the fly or develop a custom scanning profile. A lot depends on what you are scanning and the quality of the original documents. At work we use a client and an ImageNow Server. However, some Snap Scanners run around $400 as a stand-alone product with the software. Maybe you can purchase a cheap scanner, but will it do what you want?

Even if a scanner is wirless, you have to put documents in it. I work in a real office so wireless seems like gimmick to me.
