I've been trying to charge my Tungsten E for the past day and it's not working.
Something I need to do? Some troubleshooting method? It's a few months old.
I've charged it about twice before.

It's a few months old, and you've only charged it twice??? Something
doesn't sound right. Are you letting it go totally discharged for long
periods of time? If so, you may have damaged the battery.

Things *may* be okay....
If you are just looking at the battery charge indicator (the battery
icon), it will *appear* to be still discharged after a perfectly good
charging. The icon doesn't update itself from a partially charged
image to a fully charged image until after you turn the PDA off and
back on again.

As you no doubt know, when USB (i.e. trickle) charging the Tungsten E,
the "charging" lightning bolt icon doesn't show up on the battery icon.
However the batter level will slowly increase - observable if you power
off/on the device and check the battery level.
If the battery level isn't rising, it's possible of course that there's
something wrong with your Tungsten E, as you suggest.
But it's also possible that there's something wrong with the USB cable
or even more likely USB cable power source that you are using. For
example some laptops don't make as much power available on their USB
ports as others. Available power concerns are especially a possibility
if you are using a USB-powered hub. Bypass such self-powered hubs and
try plugging directly into the computer USB port if experiencing
problems. As well some laptops stop powering their USB ports when they
enter 'sleep' state - a problem if you are relying on them to still
trickle charge your Tungsten E. Still other laptops don't make
sufficient power available on their USB ports to charge a device _until_
they've interacted with at least one USB device since exiting sleep.
Short answer: try another computer, preferable a desktop, to power the
USB cable trickle-charging your Tungsten E. It might save you
unnecessarily shipping your Tungsten E back for repairs. Good luck and
let us know how you make out.

Do you get the charge symbol on the battery level indicator? (The lightning
bolt)
I had a problem with the charge symbol not coming on when I plugged it in
but I bent the little wire inside the charge port and that fixed it for a
little while. However, after a month or two I would get the charge symbol
but the battery still would not charge! Unless... I place the unit near the
edge of the table so the charge plug hangs over the edge and then hang my
car keys in the loop of the charger cable. This creates a downward force on
the charge plug and this does the trick "most" of the time. I also have
bought a USB car charger adapter and that seems to charge the unit just
about as fast as the regular charger. If needed, you could plug into the
computer USB to charge it but then you need to leave your computer on. Of
course you can leave it in your car to charge with a car charger (make sure
the socket stays on when you remove the keys) or you could even buy the car
charger and an adapter that plugs into a wall socket and has a regular
cigarette lighter socket to plug the charger into.
P.S. I've also taken the unit apart to see if I could fix the charge socket
but it appears to be a surface mount device that is impossible to check the
circuit board connections on without removing it and possibly making it
impossible to replace.

Have you tried charging the Tungsten E with the mini-USB HotSync cable?
That cable is what the other poster was referring to.
If it's plugged into a powered USB port, such as one on your PC or laptop,
it also charges the Tungsten E, although much more slowly.
