I have a TZ & MB. I have room for one more pin. Currently considering
a TAF or NGG. Which one would you reccommend I round out my collection
with? Other ideas ok also.

Thanks for your thoughts!!

You've got a Lawlor and a Fan - go for a flow, get a steve ritchie pin.

I would love a MM, but the prices are a little ridiculous.

No really serious (or not so serious for that matter) collection is
complete without a Steve Rithchie Pin. You already have the best of 2
designers (Lawlor and Gomez), time for a SR game. Depending on your
price range, T2, STTNG, Getaway,or No Fear would all be good choices.
If they don't have to be DMD's then BK2K, F-14 or even Rollergames
would be good. You could sorta go SR with IJ as well. If none of
those float your boat, then a couple of Nordman pins worth considering,
WH2O and SS.

Whew...I almost put my foot in my mouth there. I had to reread your
post to realize that you were saying "Gomez's best" rather than that
"Gomez is one of the best," at which point I was going to have to
anesthetize you like they do down at the Humane Society.

I agree that mixing up the collection a bit is the better idea, and a
good Steve game is hard to beat. Or catch. ;)

Still, to answer the poster's question, my personal preference would be
for NGG.

Hah! Easy.

Get rid of the MB, and buy both!

ALL PAT! :)

How about a ST:TNG or White Water?

Maybe a BSD?

I'd think any of those 3 titles would work out well considering the 2 games
you already had... different enough to round things out

Without a doubt NGG! I despise TAF for many reasons, the biggest being
the lack of GI lighting at the back of the playfield. NGG is very funny
and has actual flow without the standard Lawlor orbit shot through 9
jet bumpers. ;)

If I had to go down to only four games these would be my four (from my
collection): TZ, AFM, CV and NGG. I had TAF and sold it. It gets pretty
old in a home environment. I think Funhouse and NGG are way better. NGG
is essentially the same layout with the addition of a ramp and some
clever twists. NGG is an awesome game and great for the family as well.
My vote (out of the two) goes for NGG.

If you are considering other games think about AFM and CV. Both awesome
games and alot of fun. They are on the higher scale (in terms of
price), but certainly worth it. Both are very different (in terms of
play) than what you have.

A few folks have suggested a SR pin, I would highly suggest playing
before you buy it. I like his games. I've had several GetAways over the
years, enjoy T2 & NF, etc. but they don't have the depth that I like at
home...except one: ST:TNG. That is an awesome pin! That is another you
could consider, but, to be honest, I prefer AFM and CV to my ST:TNG.
ST:TNG is also one tough game and, at times, can be super frustrating
:) Definately in my top 10, though. Another thing...newbies don't
really like the game as it is a drain monster. My kids (aged 4 and 2)
love the space theme and the ships :)

You might also consider IJ. Awesome game, lots of modes (like TZ), cool
mini-playfield (like TZ), cool license (like TZ), etc. I had one, sold
it, missed it, and just got another. This game is a keeper!

I know it is tough deciding what game to add when you only have so much
room. The good news, if you buy right (good condition and price) then
you can always sell it down the line for what you paid. That has been
my strategy building my collection.

Good luck!

I haven't had much time on TZ or MB.

NGG is a great game but don't expect big point totals. I have a Wh2o
and Congo, and you get points by the millions. Comparatively, my
average game on NGG is less than a single ramp shot on either of those
two.

It's a little disheartening when you leave a 100M game on Wh2o and then
setting for a 5M game of NGG.
