Look at the literature which came with your router and figure out how to address its user setup screens. Once in you should be able to review or renew the wireless security type and password. Apply them to your laptop.

Depending on the model of the router, there may be a default WEP key written on it. You need to check for it though. Anyhow, how did you get the other laptop connected if you did not know what the key was?

You'll have to find the password from the router configuration page.

try accessing you router with the following link

www.routerlogin.com
Now it will ask you for a username/password
username: admin
password: password

On the left hand side go to wireless settings
hopefully your password will be listed as readable characters there.
