Auto-shutdown starts as soon as a download begins

A few days earlier I installed uTorrent and ever since as soon as I try to download a video file, a pop-up window appears saying Auto-shutdown and timer starts. Also, another pop-up at the right bottom asks to run the file. If I cancel the Auto shutdown, the run pop-up disappears, but I can still execute the saved file by clicking on the saved file. I have uninstalled uTorrent but problem continues. I do not want auto-shutdown timer to start
