if you want easy no hassel ftp program, then try the cutemx. but not too many people use that... the one that is way underrated but highly used is hotline. hotline started out as mac only peer2peer but now more windows users use it. the only problem with hotline is banner ads and email registry. lot of servers(person with a computer and a nice broadband connection) want to make money, so what they will do is make you sign up for a email account from variouse places and refer them. they'll get 2cents for every person. buy with hotline, if you try hard enough, you can get full lengh dvd rips, psx roms, applications, games, porn, warez and everything. i even d/l'ed bootlegged copy of the movie snatch.

THE best FTP client has got to be GlobalFTP. It is easy to use and has a ton of features others don't, AND its totaly FREE ! Great for the average user, a must for power users. Below is a link to its page, but you can also get it (and read thier review) at ZDnet.
I think you meant CuteFTP. Or at least thats what I would suggest for an FTP client, not a Peer to Peer program. CuteMX is better than FTP's i find though, much easier, so try it anyway, and hopefully Scour Exchange will be back up soon.
