Hey guys .. its been awhile since i've posted here.

ok anyway a few days ago we had a very bad lightning storm and my dads pc got fried. Anyway its a HP he took it to a local store (for insurance purpose) and the guy replaced the mobo and added in a Asus P4B533vm... For some reason it's not letting me get into the bios.

the reason i wanna get into the bios is becuase my dad is running a 2.53ghz and it's showing under the mycomputer properties it's running 1.89ghz... that's obviously wrong. i wanna tweak up the multiplier and whatnot can anyone give me some advice on what to increase it to. or any other helpful advice.

Maybe the new mobo has a different key from your old mobo to press to get in the BIOS.

Did you try pressing F2, F1 an del?

With most Asus boards, you hold delete down, (now start holding it, when you push the power button, or reset button).
The bios is currently running fsb at 100/400. It should be at 133/533.

thanks guys it was F2....

hmmm.... um yeah i called the guy at the place where my dad got this thing fixed.. to find out the key to get into the bios and he said "WHY WOULD YOU WANNA GET INTO THE BIOS" i was like..lol is this guy kidding me or what... i was like "um maybe i wanna put a master boot psw, or change boot sequence or hm... change Multiplier settings and such" ...lol he's like um... hmm... um... well if you do that you'll be voiding the warranty if you go into the bios... lol i was like ok whatever then i'll bring the computer back and you guys can Change the multiplier settings and make it run closer to 2.53 cause now it's running 1.89ghz

You CAN'T change the multiplier, and as soon as you said the word multiplier the guy probably assumed you would screw the system up because you didn't know that. It's the bus speed, the thing is running at 19x100 and needs to run 19x133.
