Hi there.

Recently, I bought this:

http://www.kenwood.eu/products/home/separates/avcc/RV-6...

HDMI IN and OUT
Optical IN

And I have this TV:

Panasonic TH-42 PX 700 E

Digital Optical Output
3 x HDMI Input
PC Input
SRS TruSurroundXT
Dolby Digital

At the moment, i have the next configuration:

TV ===OPTICAL SOUND CABLE===> RV-6000:

So i get everything played in TV played by the sound system.

COMPUTER (this is what I need to change) ========HDMI======> RV-6000 =====HDMI====> TV :

So I get the HDMI sound in the sound system, and the HDMI video in the TV.

I need to know what to buy to be able to play any good quality movie downloaded (avi AC3 or mkv) whithout using my computer. I mean, It should be something that could handle high def audio/video, with a usb IN to load the movies.

Maybe a micropc (very expensive), an android dongle (I know very few things about this), a media player hdd?

I dont know, thats why I ask for your help

Thank you very much, and excuse me if i´ve used a bad English

Perhaps elaborate on the above : is it that you feel the computer is of ATX form factor and looks bulky and takes up too much space near your TV? If you dun need any other function (DVR, optical disc playback, etc) a media player would be fine

Media player should work fine for you. Make sure it supports the files types you want to watch. I use Western Digital but could not say if that is the best choice for you. You will need to do some research.
Connection is easy. Just replace the PC with the media player.
