HELP: '41 Genco "Seven Up"

Hi,

I don't suppose anyone has a schematic for this, do they?

I'm trying to get it to power up and have a few questions (which may
apply to other Genco models of that era):

1) There's a button on the bottom that appears to close 3 switches
under the playfield momentarily - is this supposed to turn on some GI
or something? Is there any GI in this game? I'm guessing the bumpers
are features that either light or go out when hit. Not sure about GI
behind the glass.

2) When I plug in the game and push in the coin mech, the timer goes
and I can hear the transformer humming (I also tested the switch that
the timer closes and it appears to work fine). I can also hear one or
two relays (seemingly) trying to fire, but I'm not sure what should be
on or off to reset the game.

3) It appears some of the solenoids in the backbox are oiled - I'm
assuming they should not be, but this game is far older than what I'm
used to working on. Does anyone know?

Thanks for any help or info.

Mike

It could be a knock-off switch (subtracts replays) to facilitate paying
off in cash.

Hmm, interesting thought - I hadn't thought of that. Thanks for the
info, I'll post if I ever figure it out.

I'm making minor progress on figuring this thing out. Would anyone be
able to tell me what kind of DC voltage the rectifier should be putting
out? I think my rectifier is on it's way out - I'm only measuring
2.7VDC which can't be right (and would probably explain the struggling
solenoids and relays).

Thanks,

Mike
