Just browsing around looking at benchmarks and such did anyone ever notice how much the amd cpu benchmarks drop vs. intel cpus during higher resolutions
amd best cpu dropped 34 frames a second going from 800x600 to 1024x 1280 I believe while intel only drop 10 frames a second. Not trying to badmouth amd I own four systems based on cpu's from them but why such a dramatic drop for them vs intel?

That sounds like the old Quake III benchmarks for the old XP series processors, all that info is outdated.

The post are all the new processers by amd and intel anandtech.com has them it did a cpu battle ground for doom3
but even though the fx53 was the fastest processer just take note when the res goes up how much the amd cpu's go down vs the intel's. theirs other articles out there that raise the res and the same thing is noticable.

You are talking about <A HREF="http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/showdoc.aspx?i=2149&p=7" target="_new">http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/showdoc.aspx?i=2149&p=7</A>.
The reason that the intel chip catches up, is because you are looking at it upside down. At the lower res, Doom is still cpu limted, with Intel, whille the Amd is breaking free. At the higher res, the Amd is cpu limted, just not as limited as the Intel system.
