A previous "How to" on Toms Hardware guide discusses how to build a $300 lcd projector.

In the article Frank Völkel states "note that resolutions higher than SXGA are seldom available in 15-inch format, with the exception of some notebook displays." I have also noticed that notebooks also tend to have quicker response times. Consequently the projector that I am building will employ a notebook screen with LVDS conections. Here is my problem. I wish to hook the screen up to a DVI out on my video card. I have heard that wiring diagrams are available on the net to "butcher" the wires into the necessary DVI connector. However I have been unable to find these instructions. Though I did find this box.

If I understand it properly model IA-543 will take a DVI source and convert it to LVDS which the LCD screen normally uses. Unfortunately the company that makes this product is not responding to my E-mail. Is anyone familiar with this prouct or ones like it? If so will it work for my intended purpose? Also if anyone knows how to do the butcher job please also respond.
