Which laptop should i buy?

I want to buy a laptop under 2100$.it must be very powerful.i think core i7.do i want to wait for the upcoming nvidia gtx 480m or buy now.my selection is asus G51J 3D laptop.

It depends on what you want to do with it. If you plan to game, do video editing, autoCAD, etc.., it should work just fine.

Just read a article over at anand, bare bones 480M is still $2300 with a i5 and 4gb ram...

That asus would be good, or step upto a G73JH for around 1500 with i7 and mobility 5870

AGREE WITH p1n3!!! Asus G73jh!!!! Their design for cooling is TOP NOTCH. Plus their keyboard and trackpad is amazing! no doubt they are the best deal with the i7, 6gb RAM, and 5870!! hands down easy choice there for $1500 or so with a 1080p screen

Sorry, but do you really need 3D? recently tried it at a new netcafe nearby and its cool for the first couple times, gets old after that, personal opinion though..

Saw a article on here bout a week ago and it said the 5870 in CF beats the 480M by 15% while only using 10W more power and i think it cost 100$ less as well...
