On Topic, PF restoration mod?

Hi Group,

While doing substantial PF touch up I had an idea to change it a slight
bit from origianl, something I am always hesitant to do. Opinions
please...

I'm considering to touch up ALL areas including around the lights and
targets. You know how the target banks and GI lights (not inserts) have
a very thin ring of black around them and the wood is still showing a
slight bit around the hole for silk screening purposes I suppose? It is
only those areas I'm talking about and not planning to change areas
designed to be bare wood.

Anyone care to vote on:
-What would hold value if I were to later sell the restored PF?
-What would look better, some may not like the look of it?

Thanks, Have fun, Karl.

Explain better what it is you're actually planning to do to it.

OK, it's hard to ecxpalain and easy to show...

Look at any playfield, roll over switches for example, the artwork
stops and there is no color around the roll over hole where the metal
wire sticks up to be pushed down by the ball... It is those areas I am
(only conidering) to touch up and bring the artwork all the way to the
hole. Same for target banks and GI lights that stick up from bottom of
PF. Is this more clear?

Thanks, karl.

Speaking for myself, I *like* the look of wood on a playfield in the
areas where it's normally revealed. Otherwise the pf could be made of
plastic.

I like it the way it is, personally. And by the way ,not all games are
like that. Centaur's art goes all the way into them.

I generally like the clean edges though.

Go the extra mile, keep it clean.

By "keep it clean", I assume you mean don't fill in extra art and just
restore it back to original.

Thanks, I was leaning that way from the start and was looking for the
general opinion. Seems unanimous to keep original style, always sound
advise.

Thanks all, Karl.
