A good heatsink is recommended, but not necessary all the time. Other than that, you don't really needed anything, all you need to do is change the bus speeds in your BIOS.

uping the fsb. You have to have better rated(recommended) ram then pc3200. You should have at least pc3500. But I wouldn't recommend overclocking the prescot unless you have excellent cooling(water) or you have low temps already and have the headroom.
Post your current temps, idle & load.
