Cant install windows 7, my os is windows vista 64-bit

my operating system is windows vista 64-bit, i would like to format my os changing to windows 7 32-bit , but there is a problem i cant boot my computer please help

you need to clean install. I assume you've done this?

How far does booting get?

Do you mean you cant boot up Vista on hard disk
or
cant boot up from Windows 7 DVD (or USB) ?
