I have an LG Sub 300w that I am trying to connect to the Pioneer system but it is not working. There are two different inputs at the back one that just says Subwoofer the other says Subwoofer Preout

Tried both ports neither give any results the sub is completely silent. When connecting the sub to the 5.1 system it originally came with it works just fine.

Could this just be a compatibility issue or am i doing something wrong?

If its a compatibility issue can you please recommend me some moderately powerful sub that will work with this system, thanks.

What model LG sub? I suspect it is a passive sub as part of a HTIB? For $200 these days one could land decent active subs like the BC F12, Polk PSW505, Energy 10.3, etc
