I'm having problems with my green 735 notebook, it's specs are a k62 300mhz 128mb 4gb hdd. The problem is whenever I try to install an os on the blank hard drive it freezes, during the windows 2000 install it will give me a stop error. I am led to believe it is a memory error, I have tried swapping out the memory sticks with others I have but to no success. Some research has told me that on the early revisions of these only edo sodims worked but I have none to test if this is the problem. I'm trying to run memtest to determine if it is. Has anyone had similar experiances? any suggestions on how to get an os on this? I wish I had another working notebook or a 2.5in to 3.5in converter so I could plug it in and install windows that way...
