My main boot partion is the letter F : and my other drives are different letters. Not C:

I want to change my main drive letter to C:

as I'm having trouble installing certian things..

I'm running Win XP Pro SP1.. in administrative tools computer management it will not allow you to change the drive letter of the system or boot partition.only other drives and cd's,. does anyone know how I can change it ??
Maybe a program to use??

thx

You can not change the driver letter of the system partition unless you reinstall the OS.

This is something that I dealt with. You'll have to redo the format and partitions and make sure you get the drive letters right this time.

XP is a bit random. Keep erasing partitions and creating them until you get C and D.
