I was buying a laser printer today at staples and a guy that works there told me to buy laser paper. He said that it absorbs the powder ink better and saves you 25%. Is this true?

I have never heard that before but laser paper will get you a better print with a laser printer. Just like inkjet paper will with an inkjet printer.

Lasers use a dry powder that is fused to the paper so there is no "absorbing".

Happy printing, the Prisoner.

powder ink? its called toner. agree with the above, no absorption, paper is paper when it comes to laser printers, with the exception of the super cheap or recycled crap. Just use mediumly good paper and you will be fine. Also, the printer puts the same amount of toner on every page, it does not change the amount of toner it uses depending on what paper you put in it.
The guy at staples should continue to only sell staples...
