I have seen all the great advice on this forum regarding new rigs. I am in the market for a new system sans monitor, for a total of $2000. It will be a gaming system. AMD based. Overclocked. ANy suggestions?? I know I want the Geforce 6800 GT (BFG). Remember, no monitor or speakers, or optical drives. Thanks guys.

Stick that card in an Nvidia board. Lots to choose from. A64-3800 and a MSI NEO-939 would be nice!

Here is my prelim set up.

CPU- AMD 3500+ Socket 939 - $415
MB- MSI K8n Neo2 Platinum - $149
VC- 6800 GT BFG $400
SC- Audigy ZS- $80
Memory- Corsair 3200 XL 1GB $300
Case- Coolermaster Wavemaster $150
PS- 480 watt PS- $60
Hard Drive- 2 WD 250GB (WD2500PB) in RAID setup- $340
Network Card-$20
Keyboard/Mouse- $70

This total comes to around $2000. Any suggestions? AMD 3400 and a 754 platform? Different memory? I want to OC. Should I go with a 3800+ and scrap the RAID? THanks

Crucial Ballistix PC3200 instead of Corsair. The on-board network controller should be fine instead of an add-on board. It looks good to me!

You really want to OC? The FX is the only A64 chip with unlocked multipliers.
