it wont let me play minecarft help the need new drivers keeps poping up i just got windows 7

I assume you mean video card drivers, in that case yes moving away from say XP to 7 will require different video card drivers. If you just swapped from Vista, most Vista drivers still work under 7, but in case they aren't; updating them to Windows 7 oriented drivers should fix the issue.
