Compaq presario display problem

i have v3000 serise compaq presario facing problem with display on 800x600 works ok but if changed to 1024 it shakes and then screen blank out what could be the resson i tried to install display drivers but no use

How old is the laptop in question? Have you always ran it at 800x600 or did this start recently?

my laptop is Compaq Presario CQ45-108AU, AMD processor, 2g RAM, 360g HD.. bought in Jan 2009, but now having same problem with you..

when i switch on the power button, only the white led blinking for a long time. It never display anything on the screen..

I've test to replace RAM and Harddisk, also i do the hard reset.... but still no response at the display.. only led blinking and fan sound.. huhu.. is it motherboard problem???
