Help please - recovery problem

December 8, 2012 2:24:47 AM

I have a hp dv7-4295us, SMART showed drive had imminent failure, I replace drive with a SanDisk SSD 120g drive....before I did anything, I Dan chkdsk and then ran recovery to do a fresh install. Computer was running very slow, so I burned recovery discs. After putting in new drive, loaded all 8 discs with no problems - showed in partitioning and copying, all normal. Then it said the system will reboot a few times and all will be for. Well, it reboots and said drive is boot bootable, insert boot disc. I double checked in bios and drive is good. A few times showed pxe error, I checked and network boot is not on.

In sorry, runs recovery discs, then shows not boot. ...

Thoughts? I see some people say to run partition magic first, but from recovery discs, this should not be isseue...should it? I can't downloaf and install this now. ... unless out is bootable and burned from other computer. ... is this the problem?
