Xbox 2 processor from IBM to run a monstorous 21G FLOPS. Triple cored powerpc processing up to 6 threads. Forget HT. Each core running at 3.5+ Ghz. Each core having a velocity engine (vector processing as seen in G5s, G4s). Processor core will be fabricated with 65nm process.

I think it's all in what kinds of games you play. I highly enjoy the Project Gotham games for Xbox. But then again, I enjoy Tales of Symphonia for Gamecube (as well as lots of fun party games like double dash, super smash, and mario party for when kids are over). The next generation is probably going to be like the current one -- to be really satisfied with gaming choices all you need is 1 PS2, 1 Xbox, 1 GC, and 1 PC

The only reason I have 1 GC and 1 PC right now is I picked up the GC and 5 games in just barely not new condition for 80 bucks, and the PC...well, I wouldn't be on this forum if I didn't enjoy playing around with a computer, would I?

From what I have been told by a M$ rep, M$ loses about 150bux on each and every box sold, they make up that lost revenue on the sale of games. But with such a machine like xnext, it seems to me that with all that top of the line hardware under the hood M$ stands to lose A LOT more per unit on xnext. I find it hard to believe that they would be putting all this bleeding edge hardware into their next machine. How are they going to be able to build these and not charge at least $800 per unit?

But you'd have to be an idiot to argue that the Xbox has <i>better/more</i> games than the other consoles/PC. While the opposite can be said for the Playstaion <i>and</i> the PC. (I don't know anything about Nintendo.)

If given a voucher for the Xbox2/PS3 right now, I'd choose the PS3 no question. Sony is no push-over, and regardless of the hardware, the games are sure to be better and more numerous.

i think your being pretty foolish to say that the xbox doesnt have any games taht are better then other games. are there more xbox games then ps2 games? no way, not even close. Are there games on the xbox that are ebtter then games on the ps2? yes their are. You cant tlel me thier arent, its a subjective question. So how does one answer it? You go by slaes and how the market fared. Well if oyu look at kotor for example, it recieved many many accolades including game of the year, that i can say wa sa better game then anyhting ps2 or nintendo had for that period of time. i dont knwo why wyou want to beat donw the xbox so much, its just a sgood as a ps2 imo. if i had to choose between them, it would be a toss up for me, i have favorites on both systems. ps2 has the market on rpgs, and i like rpgs, but on xbox there are fps and such that i like and so i could lean to that as well.

the point here is that you cant come out and say xbox sucks and it doesnt have any games that are as good or better then ps2 games, no one person can say that. You may nto like any of the big sellers on xbox, but if they are big sellers, then they must be quality games, unless you just think of all xbox users as idiots.... if thats the case, you lose alot of credibility.

at this point, if i had to choose between the ps2 or xbox, id flip a coin lol, now ps3 versus xbox 2, um unless youve gotten sneek peaks at both, there is nothing to push me oen way or another. i dont care who made the xbox, im nto going to let some kind of brand hate or brand loyalty stop me form enjoying a system if it proves itself.
