I have a pair of Sennheiser headphones. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ [...] s&n=507846

They are kind of pricey, and my recommendation of them may be skewed since I got them as a gift, but I feel that these are great.

Not perfect, but certaintly very pleasant to work with. They are also very comfortable to wear (very light also). These headphones are the only thing I have for my computer in college, and I find that I can wear them for 8 hours at a time before the batteries die

They come with 2 batteries, each lasting 3.5 hours and taking 14 hours to charge (Both can charge at the same time, one in the base unit and one in the headphones). So, you can get 8 hours of use before both are totally dead (3.5+3.5+1 hour the first battery gets after charging for the 3.5 hours you were using the second battery).

I have had them for almost a year, and they are still working like a charm. But be CAREFUL with them. I took them to a LAN and they fell a few times, and one of the ear protectors (the padding) fell off and I had to glue it back on.

My only complaints are the long charging times (which is a mute point if you have speakers to use along with them, and really isn't so bad if you only have the headphones.).

Also, the static. These operate at 900mhz, so there is ocassional static, esepcially if you are at a distance from the base (moving does not cause the static). If you need to use these at a distance (>20 or 30 feet) you will get ocassional to moderate static. Distances beyond this, your mileage will vary.

However, when used at the computer, right next to the base, I feel they give a much needed freedom from the wire, and sound great to boot.
