Hello,
I have recently replaced my laptop with a new hard drive and extra 4GB ram slot,
My laptop is a samsung np400b5b-s02uk, i've put in a Seagate 750GB SATA-II HD and a 4GB 1333MHZ Corsair Ram slot, I am trying to install Windows 7 Home (x64) onto it, i insert the disc into the drive but a message appears saying boot device not recognised, i've selected it to boot from CD in the BIOS but still nothing.

Please help!!!

Sound like the CD (DVD?) is not bootable. Where did you get it from?

See that you selected CD drive as 1st boot device, but is the CD/DVD drive recognized in the BIOS?
