How can I connect my laptop to my monitor?

If your laptop has VGA output, then you can connect it and run dual monitors. (1 monitor your laptop, the otheer the samsung).

When you connect it, right click on your desktop and click on screen resolution. Setup your displays to "extend" so yyou can run dual desktops and drag windows across it. The default for a 2nd monitor will be to duplicate, so it will just show you two of the same.

That would be a 15-pin gameport. Computers haven't used those in ages, but if you google "15 pin gameport to usb adapter" it seems to pop a bunch of adapters up. I've never bought one, so I can't really recommend anything.
