Start up problem

hi there, i have the problem here, i'm using a SONY VGN-SR53GF notebook that basicly use windows 7, the problem began after i update my windows using the automatic update i can not start the windows again, the appearance is still in windows logon than never be enter to the desktop, please help me to resolve this problem,,, thanks

Try starting Windows in safe mode.
Press F8 repeatedly just before you see the first window screen for options.
