No audio?

I feel like i might be being really stupid here but i just got a new monitor that has no inbuilt speakers but there doesnt seem to be anywhere on the monitor where i could plug in speakers im not really sure what to do about this can i plug speakers into my motherboard again probably being really stupid but this is my first build
it is a Acer S240HLbid 24''
