So far im going to this

MOBO WILL BE A PCI-E ONE WHEN THEY COME OUT
19 FLAT PANEL MONITOR(NEED SUGGESTIONS 12 MS OR LESS)
LOGITECH MX1000
KEYBOARD( NEED SUGESTIONS)
CREATIVE T7700 / LOGITECH Z-680
CREATIVE AUDIGY 2 (CARD ONLY)
DVD DRIVE
DVD / CD BURNER
1 GB OCZ 3700 DDR400 RAM
74 GB WD RAPTOR


OK ALSO NOTE THAT THIS COMPUTER AND ALL PARTS WILL BE PURCHASED IN DECEMBER SO I STILL HAVE LOTS OF TIME, NOT IN ANY RUSH

Chances are, no PCI-exp mobos this year, for amd.
The FX chip will still be a waste of money.

I'd spend $200 on upgrading the old system and $3000 on a car.

are you going to do any overclocking? that would be the onyl reason id look into the fx55. if oyu wont be, stick to the ahtlon 64 3800+

as far as pci-e, some may doubt it, but i think its possible you will see capable boards this year, in november or december at least. the only thing you might consider though is if youd like to make use of the sli feature, but that would mean you buy an nvidia video card, so its up to you.
