Dug my TZ out over the weekend, only to find that a lovely little Field
mouce had decided to make it "home" (i caught the culperate last week,
so no longer a problem....). He decided that he would "hop up" into the
cable entry/exit hole - course it was stored in the correct manor... on
it's rear end.

Appart from the obvious stench, it doesnt look he's caused any damage in
there, but i need to give it a good check over before i power the
machine on.

Any suggestions on what to use for disinfecting the bottom of the
basebox at all? Can i just use normal spray on disinfectant (avoiding
the usual electronics of course!)

And just wondered if anyone has found interesting "rodents" living in
machines at all.....

Chewed wires. I would just check A/C wires, then add check wires to your
troubleshooting methods.

Good luck.

try brushing bleech on the affected areas. that smell will go away,
may take a couple of applications.

Disposable gloves and toss when done. Some of the stuff they carry is
extremely rare, but why take any chances. LTG :)

He probably couldn't read, thought the game was Midway's Mousin' Around
and that he belonged there.
Hope you didn't kill the little guy and set him free.

What I do to prevent this: Drop 1/2 a dozen or so moth balls down the
coin door. The odor keeps varmits out. The moth balls will last about 4
months.

I was moving machines out of a building a few years ago and had a
friend open up a machine and a live opossum almost bit his nose off.
She had babies in the machine and was not friendly! I never laughed so
hard watching him run out of the building and refuse to come back in.
We had a copperhead snake crawl out of a kiddie ride last summer when
we were unloading the trailer, and were lucky a customer was standing
there and said to watch out. There are things a lot worse than mice!

If you get a live mouse I guess that means you're ok as far a copperhead is
concerned!
