hi everyone, i need some help with my new setup. I just upgraded my system to a 3.2 from a 1.8@2.5 with new from (old 2700) to new ocz pc3500. when i do 3dmark03 tests and aquamark tests, i get only like 300 more points, which is a little disapointing. I dont know if im not overclocking my ram right, or maybe its my 3d card or something. I NEED HELP!

??????? Have u reinstalled ur system yet, maybe theres to much clutter on there to bench properly. On the other hand, this bench is evry video card dependant also.

So you basically went from a P4-2700 to a P4-3200?
That is only a 500mhz increase. Less than a 20-percent jump.
Noticable, not kickass...

According to your sig its at 3.6 now. Was there any more difference?

3DMark 03 is not very CPU dependant. In fact, early test showed it performing better with a 9700 Pro on a PII 300 than on a Ti4200 with a P4 3GHz or something insane like that. It's almost totally video card dependant.

i had to put it back down to 220 fsb because it overheated way too much. so my ram is at 2.5-3-3-5 @ 220 with a 1:1 ratio, my clock is at 3.52ghz, and my flashed fx5900 is at 450/950. its not a bad rig, but my 3dmark03 scores are like 6200ish, and my aquamarks are like 4200ish. i just think that it should be higher.

Putting better RAM and O/Cing the CPU won't run up your 3DMark scores very much, if you want better 3DMark scores you'll need to go out and buy a new video card. If you want to benchmark the CPU and RAM then use SiSoftware Sandra benchmarks
