The in-laws may be selling their Happy Days (Fonz and the gang pictured
on it - 70's/80's??) pinball machine and I'm trying to find out its
value and where one could sell it (Eastern Ontario, Canada).

They also have an older juke box too.

Is there a price guide available or a website to find out pricing on
these?

Any help would be appreciated.

cheers

You have a Bally Eight Ball. Value depends on condition. They made a
TON of them in 1977, but it is a good game. Value could go from $50 for
a junker to $800 for a nice shopped and working example. Sell them on
Mr. Pinball classifieds or ebay. Take GOOD digital pics.

What is it?

You're talking about a Bally 8 Ball right? $950 seems high to me but
why do you say it's worth up to $300 more this year? Are all my pins
worth that much more this year?

You are kidding, right? $1250 for an Eight Ball? I don't think so.

That is high for an eight ball. I was pricing a Happy Days as per his
question. Mr. Pinall Price guide book is increasing its value from last
year to this year an average of $300 on alot of pins.

Well this actually sorta helps then as I have a Happy Days (it's a '52
woodrail and a Gtlb) and last time I checked it didn't have the "Fonz"
on the backgalss;)

The pinball game is called "Eight Ball"- made by Bally.  There's no such
game as "Happy Days".

You can browse the internet looking for these for sale- to see what people
are asking for them, based on the actual condition (this game is 28 years
old- nearly an antique- so condition varies considerably- much like
condition on a 28 year old used car....)  Check sites like Mr. Pinball
(classifieds)- www.mrpinball.com and eBay.

As for price guides, there's nothing really "online" but you can pick up a
copy of the annually-released Mr. Pinball Flipper Pinball List/Price Guide-
we have the new 2005 edition currently on sale- www.actionpinball.com  Not
only has values, but lots of other good information too.

What kind of condition are we talking about for $950?  Beat up, flaking
glass, missing boards.  Or 100+ hour restoration with NOS playfield,
backglass, repainted cabinet, upgraded PC boards, etc.?  Are all 1977 Chevy
Camaro's worth the same amount too?

Always consider condition when looking at prices/values!  Many uneducated
pin buyers don't.

Nope.

Fifty (50) years is what is generally accepted as the time-frame to be an
antique.

Unless it's furniture, then it's 75 years.

30 years is/was considered antique in the car restoration market, when I was
involved in that "hobby".  We can get "horseless carriage" plates here in
Utah on a vehicle if 30 years old or older.  I've always figured the same
for pins, but I suppose it can vary depending on the item.

Thanks everyone for the info.  I'll get more details and some pics of
both the pinball machine and juke box to get a better idea on price.

cheers
