I cannot extract any compressed files. Whether rar or any type. I have tried, turning UAC off, using winzip, winrar, 7z, and I also reinstalled Windows 7 and formatted it. The case is with all compressed files, not with only one or two, With ALL.

have you tried on another system(eg A friends) to see if the files are corrupted or not?

I have extracted the same files on my laptop, not once but four times and they work perfectly. So the files are not corrupted.

Its a CRC error. I need to fix it somehow.

Try to search on web for a zip repair tool.
You need to find the source of the problem:
What happens if you compress the file on the laptop and try to unzip it on the pc?
What happens if you transfer the uncompressed file from the laptop to the PC, compress it on the PC and try to unzip it back on the pc?

I had this same problem when I was pushing my overclock to the limit. CRC errors when decompressing archives... I believe your system is not stable, even if you're running at stock speeds. I'd start by running Memtest to verify that your RAM is OK. My suspicion is that one of your DIMM's is bad.

Yeah that is what I am thinking of too..
I am going to move my RAM into different slots.

If the RAM tests out OK, the PSU is the next suspect. Good luck.
