"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down..

Well i was on Google, just browsing some images and stuff, and i went to grab something across the room, and i noticed my computer shut down. It was a blue screen that read -

"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer"

There was some more text but i couldn't get it all before my computer restarted.

The only thing i can think that MAY have caused this was downloading new drivers for my ATI Radeon 5450. (this was hours before...)

I've run a few virus scans with Avast! antivirus and nothing.

More about problem detected windows shut down
  1. Hi

I suggest you set things up so the PC does not reboot after a bsod so you can write the error message down & Google for meaning and cause of problem

(via Control Panel / System / Advanced ...)
