What about this model? I have never bought a laptop\notebook before.
(Have had Gateway and Micron desktops.) Don't want any problems
buying equipment from Dell.

IMO the 5150 is bulkier and heavier then necessary and it doesn't have
traditional ports like an LPT port. Depending on your use I'd look into the
600M. It's a good size and weight, has traditional ports and is a real nice
laptop. The only drawback is that it only comes with a 14.1" screen.
