Blue Screen Error Message

Hi,

Every couple of weeks I get this blue screen error message saying windows has shut down. It seems to happen when my pc has been on for a while (Temperature is ok). It's happened with a few different applications. The following is the technical bit:

***STOP: 0X0000008e (0XC0000005,0XF8A2AAE5,0XF1D456D0,0x00000000)

*** NetMotCM.sys Address F8A2AAE5 base at F8A2A000,DateStamp 3bb08bba

Does this mean anything to anyone?

Ok, after a bit of research it seems it may be connected to the Motorola USB cable modem I have. Is there any way I can stop this happening?

get rid of the Motorola USB cable modem. Ethernet is better anyway.

Thanks for your help but I'd like to try & solve the problem before I get rid of the modem. Is there nothing I can do to stop the problem?

Have you looked on the manufacturer's website for an updated USB WinXP driver for the modem?
