Err. Hmmm...

Maybe Im just anal, but I like solid info otherwise something says YUCK. ya know?

So I got this a64 3000+ today... Model number ends in AX, which I thought was the new newcastles right? As opposed to the AP version which was the clawhammer with half the cache.

But all the programs I use say I have clawhammer core.... And on top of that some programs say Im on skt 939, im not, its 754. On top of that sisandra says its the 98nm cpu, which I thought wasn't even out yet.

whatever, its just all confusing because its all untrue. I like accurate info when i throw so much money away.

Clawhammers have 1MB, Newcastles have half that.

No, many clawhammers have the 512kb cache with 512kb disabled. The first 3000+ were clawhammers with 512kb. The next 3000+ was a newcastle.

The clawhammers had model number ending in AP, the newcastles had model number ending in AX, and were the CG revision.

right?
