First of all, for all those who are saying Intel is dead - I dont think so. They still remain powerful, even if like a wounded tiger. AMD has been seen pushing hard for 64bit apps in including windows. But looks like Intel changes likely to force WinXP 64 delay and this does show Intel controls technology no matter how much AMD pushes.

In anycase back to the main article:
http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=19113

Some features "include 1066MHz front side buses, twin channel DDR2-667, four Serial ATA-II, RAID 0/1/5/10 AHCI, iAMT (active management technology), ADD2+ Media Card, PCI Express X16 GFX, eight USB 2.0, and six PCI Express X1 expansion slots."

Also, Intel's official cancellation of the 4.0GHz Pentium 4 is only the beginning of their problems. The 65nm variant called Cedar Mill, if it ever comes out, is only expected to clock to 4.4GHz, a piddling increase. http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=19110. Maybe their change in roadmap is a better step into the future.

A discussion of dual core problems can be found here.

People are, as usual, taking things to extreme in this forum... Enthusiasts usually do that.

Intel isn't dead.
