I am planning on buying a laptop mainly for internet/uni use. However I will still want to play some games such as Civ3, SimCity 4 and Deus Ex.
I have been looking at these two sony laptops, which are very similar in price and are also pretty powerful. I am not too bothered about the low battery life as I would use a socket for power 90% of the time.
If anyone has either of these laptops or have heard anything about them, good or bad, could you please let me know so I can choose one or look for a different laptop.

VAT is great! :wink:

Both those laptops look fine. You will have no problem with games like DX or Civ3.

THG did a review on a Sony a while back. It had a big subwoofer in it or something.
