I have a Soyo KT333 Dragon Ultra Platinum MB with a AMD 2400 Thorton core
My mb can take up to 2600+ 266FSB
is it worth doing the upgrade
I can use the 2400 to upgrade an 1800+

it has 512 memory would a memory upgrade make a diffference

Well hell! What is your other box doing and does your other box need a new processor? Your probably not going to see a big difference between a 2400 and a 2600.

Have you done a bois update on your motherbaord? If it can take a 2600 then I would probably say that it would probably take up to a 3200.

A 2600 would only be worth it, if you were going with a mobile (xp-m) chip, and were going to overclock. I would think getting to 2.3ghz, along with the extra cache, would make it an okay upgrade for the price.
