I posted this same post in the Memory forum and go no response in like a 12 hour period, so I am putting it here (especially since it relates to the AMD 64 and how fickle it is about memory). Please don't accuse me of double posting, I could care less about my post count.
While my current memory is doing just fine, my brother needs new/more memory badly. Instead of giving him new stuff I am just going to give him mine and get the best I can right now for my current system. Basically my problem is this; I have read in various reviews that Crucial Ballistix perform the best on A64 systems, however, in all of the reviews that I have read Corsair ram was neglected. I have narrowed my choices down to Crucial 3200, Corsair 3200, or OCZ 3200 all at 2-2-2 latency (or comparable). Please tell me which of these you think is the best and provide proof if possible; if you want to suggest something totally different that is perfectly fine as well, just let me know what you think.
Also, keep in mind that I will probably try overclocking this memory, so do you think it would be better for me to get some 4000 OCZs? Do you ever think motherboard will use this speed DDR?
