Heloo, everybody.
I think I've got a problem.
First of all, a little about my computer so I can enable you to help me :

Processor
Model : Intel(R) Pentium(R) III
Speed : 451MHz
L2 On-board Cache : 512kB ECC Synchronous Write-Back (4-way, 32 byte line size)

Mainboard
Bus(es) : ISA AGP PCI USB i2c/SMBus
MP Support : No
MP APIC : No
System BIOS : American Megatrends Inc. 62710
System : PCCHIPS M741LMRT
Mainboard : PCCHIPS M741LMRT
Total Memory : 119MB SDRAM

Chipset 1
Model : Silicon Integrated Systems (SiS) SiS620 CPU to PCI Bridge
Front Side Bus Speed : 1x 100MHz (100MHz data rate)
Total Memory : 128MB SDRAM
Memory Bus Speed : 1x 100MHz (100MHz data rate)

Video System
Monitor/Panel : ADI CORP
Adapter : SiS 620

Physical Storage Devices
Hard Disk : GENERIC NEC FLOPPY DISK
Hard Disk : GENERIC IDE DISK TYPE47
CD-ROM/DVD : BCD 40SB CD-ROM

Logical Storage Devices
1.44MB 3.5" (A:) : N/A
Windows 98 (C:) : 3.8GB (533MB, 14% Free) (FAT32)
Windows xp (D:) : 3.8GB (1.0GB, 27% Free) (FAT32)
Data volume (E:) : 7.6GB (283MB, 4% Free) (FAT32)
CD-ROM/DVD (G:) : N/A

I've currently installed MotherBoard Monitor (a soft available on the net) and I've set my temperature sensors on LM78 and LM78-Tekrame Probe (i hope someone can tell me what this LM78... means).
The problem is that the temperatures they indicate are 129Celsius and 79Celsius respectively, which seems to be a lot (260 Farenheit and 174 Farenheit for all american readers)
Mean while the fan sensors indicate that only fan2 pointing to LM78-2 is working at 4821 RPM (isn't it odd that fan1 doesn't work ?)
Considering the facts about my computer could anyone please tell me if I've got a problem and if so, how can I fix it with not very big costs ?

Thank you

Your readings are waaaayyy off. Touch the heatsink of your processor and see if it feels like 129 degrees celsius. If it is, your computer would melt and everything would catch on fire killing you and your whole family. I've seen processors that you can cook eggs on but never any that could boil water.

Does your fan 1 work or is the computer just not reading it? If its spinning then its fine.

If it doesn't crash, have errors or lock-ups etc., then its fine. If you want to be on the safe side then take off the side panel and let it cool out.

As the previous posters already pointed out, those temperature readings just don't make any sense on the Celcius scale.

129C and 79C are well beyond the level of tolerance of any civilian computer hardware, 129F and 79F seem a lot more likely and within the norms.

Be advised that temperature probes on motherboards are relatively (in)accurate, therefore, all readings should be taken with a grain of salt. Considering that you are using an obsolescent PCCHIPS product, chunk-sized grains would seem more appropriate.

I read some reports that CPUCooL could be able to provide reasonably good readings from your motherboard thermal probes.
