HP z600 USB to Paralle adapter issue

Hello,

we have a new HP z600 built with W7 we just built and migrated to a user. He has a HP LaserJet 4000 connected via an USB to parallel cable. We are expiriencing up to a 30 minute boot up time with this cable connected. We unplugged the printer and restarted the machine, the machine boots correctly and functions fine. What is causing the POST to lag like this?

The computer looked for the device on the parallel port and interfere with the POST.
