Forum Laptops & Notebooks : General Discussion Is the AMD Phenom 2 triple core decent for a laptop?

Hello,
I need to upgrade my wifes laptop. I have looked at a HP Pavillion with a AMD Phenom 2 triple core 500 g hard drive and 4 g or ddr3 memory and 5650 video card for 699 after rebates. Does that sound like a decent deal or should I add 200 to it and go with a i5? She would use this for school, work and to listen to music... Any advice would be very greatly appreciated..
Thanks..
