I may be completely mixed up about this but do the AMD 64's not support dual channel memory? If they dont how much of a difference in performance does it make? Cause it wouldnt be fun to have 1.5 gigs turned into the equivalent of 768MB of Dual Channel DDR 400
Thanks in advance,
Koka

The s754 chips do not support dual channel, the s939 chips do. Dual channel is included in the PR # for s939. A s754 chip runs faster than a s939 chip with the same pr rating.
For many apps, the s754 outperforms a same pr s939.

Not having dual channel wont result in your memory being equal to half of what it is in dual channel. All it means is its theoretical bandwidth is cut in half, but with the AMD Athlon 64 architecture the difference in performance is neglible. You can thank that to an efficient memory controller.

Well, the difference on a s939 board would still be between 7 and 10%. It is hard to ignore, so, when you get the A8N-E board, it would be good to make use of the dual channel.
