Epson printer printing black streaks

Hello,
When I try to to scan or copy something, it prints out with two 1/2 wide black lines from the top of the page to the bottom. However, if I print a document from the computer it works fine. This just started this week. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

clean the scanner glass.

I have the same problem only it prints a 5/8" black bar down the left hand side of copies or things being scanned in but not if I print from my computer. I cleaned the scanner glass although it was already clean. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
