I need some help building my dream machine

Ok here’s my situation, I am going to do a total system upgrade mboard, cpu, mem, vid, and sound cards the whole nine yards my budget is $5000.

I was wondering what combination would yield me the best possible performance in hardcore gamming and some professional level audio recording.

If I had all that money Id get this:

Components:
1 * AMD Athlon 64 3500+
1 * N-Force 4 SLI board
2 * Nvidia 6800Ultra
2 * 512 Crucial Balistix RAM
1 * Western Digital Raptor 10000RPM (76Gb)
2 * 200Gb Harddrive (RAID1)
1 * DVD Dual Layer Burner
1 * CD/DVD Rom Drive
1 * 19" Monitor

Cooling:
1 * Hydor L30 Water Pump
1 * 120.2 Radiator
1 * RBX Waterblock
2 * DangerDen 6800 Waterblock
1/2" Tube

Overclocking the CPU / GPU's would be easier and yeild better results with water cooling.

...wait, this is my dream machine. Anyway, you could get all that for $5000 easy.

I was actually planning on going with some cooling solutions from Koolance, namely the PC2-650BK, and the waterblocks to go with it

Why do you recomend only 512 ram?

Without a doubt you need a cool case. I wish I would of known about this one before I got my current case.

2x512 ram dual channel = 1gb 128bit bus.

Koolance cannot touch a custom watercooled system. Start reading http://www.overclockers.com then you will understand. Plus they look much cooler.

LianLi cases are also good, and look great IMO

Why not FX55? Difference between 2.2 Ghz and 2.6 GHz is quite good, and extra 512k L2 cache is a bonus.
