Dell is and always will be blowing smoke. Intel has a grip on them and they arent letting go anytime soon. It would take a huge failing on intel's part for dell to consider amd. ill be the first to be amazed if it does go amd soon, but i really doubt it for 'political reasons'. dell certainly doesnt want to anger intel.

thats very overblown there.

amd could easily handle thier opteron orders for example. sure they couldnt covere every pc line dell has, but why owuld dell evne put amd on everything? evne fi they go amd, it will still largely use intel parts in its systems. but im sure amd could provide plenty of opterons, and even fx's for some high end systems.

you seem to think its all or nothing, but thats not the case.
