Hi, I'm looking to buy a new laptop to use at home for my Fiance and I. The laptop will be used for general word processing, browsing the internet, e-mail, iTunes, watching DVDs and some light gaming. So far I have been mainly looking at the selection Dell offers because I have had good systems from them in the past and they are offering a Buy now - Pay later option. I have a budget of around £500-£600 although with my Fiances permission this can be extended to around £750 if the laptop is going to be a lot better then something I can get in the £500-£600 price range.

I have drawn up 6 different systems so far that I think will meet my needs, 3 in the £500-600 price range and 3 in the £600-£750 price range. If you guys would be able to look through them and recommend which one in each of my price ranges would be best for me that would be much appreciated. Also if I have missed something on the Dell website (its kinda confusing) then your more then welcome to list that laptops specs and price range.

or even number 2, I don't see much difference except 70GB of HDD and 2GB of RAM. but almost 150 pounds. That's a lot for such a little difference.

Thanks for the replies guys :)

I just noticed that the offers change on the Dell website after tonight so I might hold off and see what changes they make. It shouldn't be too long before they start with Back-2-School offers XD
